Abstract

The article focuses on the ultrasound diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy, with emphasis on detecting unusual forms of ectopic gestation. Ectopic pregnancy takes place when the developing blastocyst becomes implanted at a site other than the endometrium of the uterine cavity. It occurs mostly in the fallopian tube. One of the major cause of ectopic pregnancy is the disruption of normal anatomy which is accompanied by functional impairment due to damaged ciliary activity.
