Abstract

The article presents a study to determine the impact of reduced nickel Occupational Exposure Limits (OELs) and Environmental Quality Standards (EQS) on the nickel plating industry in Great Britain. This technical feasibility study commissioned by the European Nickel Industry Association examined companies involved in nickel plating during the period September-December 2004. It was found that nine out of 16 companies had conducted some form of occupational exposure monitoring.
