Abstract

The article highlights events during the three-week course held in the Calligraphy Workshop in an office building on lower Fifth Avenue in New York. The author participated in the workshop during which he met, Louis Strick, the president of the Pentalic Corp., a company that has been selling pens, ink, writing paper and related materials for several years. Evidently, calligraphy became popular in New York city specifically in art schools.
