Abstract
- The article discusses on how the one cell divides into two and then each into two more cells. The observations and experiments were tested in plants and animals tissue. Kaspar Friedrich Wolff observed in the plants tissue that when the specialized parts did begin to form each appeared first as swelling in the undifferentiated tissue. In animals tissue, he found that the intestine gradually formed from tissue. He concluded that both the developmental process was epigenesis.
