Abstract

The article discusses the excess in the supply for health care in the U.S. by physicians with minimal demand from patients. As a result, more doctors experience a stagnating growth in income. The development may be rooted from high medical prices, which induced both a greater supply of doctors and a drive by medical entrepreneurs and their customers to reorganize health care delivery to be able to cut costs. In effect, students have been less keen on entering medical courses.
