Abstract

The article presents an account of various past meetings of the National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST). The first meeting of the NARST was attended by seventeen persons. The first meeting was held in 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio. The third meeting was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey on February 24-25, 1930. The program consisted of papers dealing with a variety of research topics in science education. The fourth meeting of the Association was held in Detroit, Michigan on February 23-24, 1931. The program featured the symposium "An Integrated Program of Science Teaching for the Grades of Elementary and Secondary Schools." The fifth annual meeting of the association was held in Washington D.C. on February 20, 22-23, 1932.
