Abstract

The article discusses the retenix theory of color vision. The visual pigments are photosensitive molecules that respond to a wide band of light frequencies. The three pigments in the cone cells of the retina cover the visible spectrum in three broad, overlapping curves. The processing of fluxes to generate lightness could occur in the retina, or in the cerebral cortex.
