Abstract
- The article reports on the introduction of peer assisted learning activities (PAL) to encourage students to develop their skills in teaching, learning, and assessing and to engage in co-operative learning in Great Britain. PAL is common to pre-school, primary, secondary, tertiary and work-based education. The medical school introduced the first PAL initiative in the year 2000 and, with the support of teaching staff and students.
