Abstract
- The article focuses on the reasons behind the failure of the teacher training model at the State University of New York in Stony Brook, New York. The university's faculty felt that its teacher training model has produced teachers who are not generally effective as leaders, creative thinkers and autonomous, whole persons. One problem cited by the faculty members was the employment of supervisor in the university. The author of this article outlines the results of a case study about the application of family systems concepts in the training of teachers.
