Abstract

The article reports developments related to science in the U.S. A continuing complaint by the public about health care has been that there are too many specialists and not enough physicians who deliver a broad spectrum of family care. Two powerful techniques of contemporary molecular genetics have been combined for the first time in an effort to understand the deoxyribonucleic acid sequences called regulatory genes.
