This article presents information on Unité de Coordination de la Documentation et d'Incitation à la Recherche (UCODI), an international educational research programme of the University of Louvain in Belgium. The educational program which is funded by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is based on media-based teaching. This program has two broad aims, that is, to initiate research into the use of educational technology and to disseminate information on research in this field. The UCODI Newsletter provides detailed information on worldwide educational projects, reports on conferences and new literature and the latest UCODI activities in the field of educational technology. It also provides bibliographic listings on specific topics and publishes a working paper series. Some of the topics included are: the optimal ordering of taught subject matter, the role of cybernetics in educational methods, learning by discovery, the use of computers in curriculum planning and a comparative evaluation of traditional and computer-based testing.
