Abstract

The article describes New York's Coney Island amusement park during an early spring. The absence of summer crowds and the closure of some galleries make Surf Avenue apparently deserted. The roller coaster is shut down and only a carousel or some other minor attractions. It is surprising to find in this setting an establishment as busy as Nathan's Famous delicatessen. Visitors of the park can still enjoy a trip to the New York Aquarium or the Coney Island boardwalk.
