The article reports on the certification regulations in Pennsylvania (PA). The State Council of Education has approved the programs of education and certification regulations for home and school visitors, that has been effective on September 1, 1951. The certification may be issued to an applicant who has earned a baccalaureate degree in an approved college with the following courses: (a) education (b) psychology (3) sociology (4) legal provisions. The higher qualifications for the preparation of public nurses have been effective on September 1, 1952. The state-standard limited certificate will be issued for 3-years upon satisfactory completion of the following: (a) graduation from an accredited 3-year-approved school of nursing curriculum (b) licensure as registered nurse in PA.
