Recall and perception of oral health education among 1 8-year-olds.

The article presents information on a study which focused on special oral health education (OHE) program in Finland. In Finland more than 90% of the school-aged children receive their annual oral services within the public health system. The subjects in this study included all the young adults born in 1967 and registered as residents of the city of Pori, Finland. The criteria for clinical need for specific OHE were based on oral health status obtained from subjects' dental records in public oral health care between 1982 and 1985.
