Abstract
- The article focuses on the use of artifacts to teach gifted children about industrialism in New England in the 1800s. It suggests that artifacts or cultural materials are dependent upon student interpretation through critical thinking. It details the procedure for developing a lesson on Industrial Revolution using Hitchcock and Shaker chairs. It explains the importance of using artifacts for gifted students.
