Abstract
- This paper presents the preliminary results of a modeling study on regional air pollutants transport over the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region of China in fall season (Nov. 2002) on the basis of compiled emission inventories. The advanced regional chemical transport model, STEM-2K1, driven by meso-scale meteorological model MM5, was employed with a nesting technique. Three weather patterns were found in the fall season. Numerical sensitive study indicated that external influence on air quality in PRD was significant and dependent on the transport pattern determined by weather situations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
