Abstract

The article discusses the development of secondary science curriculum in Malaysia. In 1967 secondary school education curriculum was reform under the coordination of the Educational Planning and Research Division of the Ministry of Education. The adoption of the new secondary science project materials began in 1968 and proceeded through 1981. The problems that came out from the adaptation of the foreign curricula were recognizably the physical and economic, which includes the lack of amenities such as laboratories, apparatus, trained staff and funds.
