Abstract
- The article reviews the junior and senior high school curricula and discusses the reasons for introducing earth science into a curriculum and suggest in which grade it should be taught in Jordan. The junior high school consists of grades 7, 8, and 9 and represents a transition period between the elementary and senior high schools. The high school consists of grades 10 through 12, upon successful completion of which the student receives a high school diploma. Meanwhile, a unified earth science course would stimulate the student to become concerned about the dynamic planet and would give a background on which to read and reason on earth science issues.
