Abstract
- The article reports on the life and works of writer Henry Maas. Housman took an interest in "naughty" books like "The Whippingham Papers" and "My Lifes and Loves." Maas fell in love with a fellow-undergraduate, Moses Jackson, an experience, which, on his own investigation, he has never to repeat. To Housman himself, his scholarship came first, his poetry second.
