Ambien CR is the product of Sanofi-Aventis SA. A clinical trial will be conducted by Somaxon Pharmaceuticals Inc. on Silenor, which is the company's investigational candidate for the treatment of insomnia. The trial will evaluate the safety and efficacy of Silenor over a three month period in elderly patients diagnosed with primary chronic insomnia.
