Genetic Identification of Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolius by Pyrosequencing Methods.

The article attempts to determine whether two ginseng species, Panax ginseng and Panax quinquefolius, can be identified by genetic analysis and to verify pyrosequencing analysis, which was used to assess genetic variation. Panax quinquefolius showed a different pattern than Panax ginseng. The article suggests that pyrosequencing analysis might be able to identify the Panax species.
