Abstract: The article discusses the Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) of the U.S. which was enacted in 1972. An overview of the pesticide registration process policy under FIFRA is presented. It explains the resulting classification scheme of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for carcinogens. A comprehensive review of the FIFRA registration process is presented.
