Abstract

The article reports on a survey conducted among U.S. physicians in February 1985 on their attitudes toward marketing and its role in the practice of medicine. Results show that most respondents hold a positive attitude toward business in general. Even though they expect marketing to play an important role in medical practices, they seem to hold a negative attitude toward marketing practices in business. Other results are discussed.
