Abstract
- The article reports that the University of California is now making a group of RLG services and products available to MELVYL system users. The University of California's MELVYL system is one of the best known and most highly respected online library catalogs in the U.S. RLG's services are available to the entire University of California System--all nine campuses plus the office of the president. The campuses are Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz. all in California. The University's subscription allows simultaneous access for up to 10 users, on campus and at selected off-campus sites. All MELVYL users have to do is type "USE EUREKA," and RLG's new user-friendly search service connects them to the RLIN bibliographic database and the CitaDel citation and document delivery service. The combination of Eureka, RLIN, and CitaDel is a potent one. It gives even computer neophytes entree to a remarkable array of bibliographic information.
