Abstract
- The article discusses how Japan-made dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) chips are attracting buyers from the U.S. computer industry. Japan is selling DRAM chips to the U.S. buyers for 3-5 times the floor price set by a trade agreement between the two countries. Japan subsided the U.S. computer industry by selling chips at lower prices. And now chipmakers are selling DRAMs at far lower prices in Japan than in the U.S. due of which Japan is expected to produce better computers at lower prices.
