Abstract
- This article focuses on the use of innovation labs by companies to develope popular products. Much of the critical work on Motorola's popular Razr cell phone was done at a downtown Chicago innovation lab know as Moto City, and not in Motorola's traditional research and development facility. Innovation labs are designed to replace traditional systems because waiting for scientists and engineers, then product developers, then marketers to develope a product takes too long in a highly competitive market where technology changes fast.
