Asset financier gets four years in prison.

This article reports that Peter Nicol, a Glasgow-based lease broker, has been sentenced to four years in prison for forgery of hospital equipment leasing contracts worth £ 4.5 million with UK Health Service Trusts. Nicol ran a small asset finance boutique called Eurocapital Asset Management, which he founded in 1994. Eurocapital specialized in medical equipment financing, but Nicol also created an aircraft finance company called AviaLease Global. The court found that Nicol claimed in negotiations with the finance houses that the leases were for longer terms than that which he had agreed with the National Health Service Trusts.
