WELCOME TO Twin Town.

This article features the town of Mackay in North Queensland, a home to more than 50 sets of twins. Mackay can surely lay claim to being one of the world's twin capitals, in 2004, 39 sets have been born in this town. Lexy Walker is a founding member of the Twins Club already had a 22-month-old son when she gave birth to twins in 2000. According to Walker, when her twins were born, there was no-one to talk about multiple birth. She needed someone to share the experience with, so she put an advertisement in the local paper to form a support group.
