Abstract

Researchers at Hangzhou Dianzi University in Zhejiang, China, have developed a novel automatic locating system for the pylorus and ileocecal valve in wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE). This system combines a gastrointestinal classification model and a sliding pin algorithm to accurately identify these key locations in the small intestine. The study showed promising results with an average accuracy of 92.21% in classifying WCE images and a mean locating error of 26 frames for the pylorus and 65 frames for the ileocecal valve. The research aims to improve the efficiency of diagnosing gastrointestinal diseases through endoscopic procedures. [Extracted from the article]
