Abstract

A study conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in Assam, India, focused on developing a machine learning approach to estimate ventricular depolarization timings using a single low-cost sensor for measuring systolic time intervals. The study utilized a cardiomechanical seismocardiogram signal to capture necessary data for assessing cardiac functions. The research concluded that the standalone use of seismocardiogram as a cardiac tool shows promise in evaluating left ventricular systolic functions and potential applications in detecting ventricular anomalies. The study was published in Biomedical Signal Processing and Control and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
