ON AN ALGORITHM FOR SOLVING SOME NETWORK- PROGRAMMING PROBLEMS.

The article deals with the use of a unified algorithm for solving some network-programming problems. The author states that hydraulic and mechanical analogues for the problems discussed in this section are useful in explaining the nature of the solution-process to some whose physical intuition is stronger than their mathematical background. The author also mentions that acquaintance with the studies discussed here will enable the reader to modify the methods for the case where the variable x are restricted to be integers.
