Abstract
- Researchers at Capital Medical University in Beijing conducted a study on the association between the neutrophil-to-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (NHR) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) or metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). The study, based on data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2017-2020, found a positive correlation between NHR levels and the risk of NAFLD/MASLD, particularly in certain subgroups. The researchers concluded that NHR could potentially serve as a marker for these conditions and lowering NHR levels may help reduce their incidence. [Extracted from the article]
