Abstract

Researchers at the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute in Bhubaneswar, India, conducted a study on microsporidia-associated anterior uveitis after keratoconjunctivitis. They found that patients with this condition had documented evidence of keratic precipitates or anterior chamber cells, with treatment involving lubricants alone or in combination with topical steroids. The study concluded that uveitis after microsporidial keratoconjunctivitis is a self-limiting condition that often resolves without corticosteroids, cautioning against the use of steroids in the presence of active corneal lesions.
