Abstract
- A study conducted at the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom explores the relationship between multidimensional romantic jealousy and cyber dating abuse, with a focus on the mediating role of self-esteem. The research distinguishes between psychological and relational cyber dating abuse, finding that cognitive and behavioral jealousy are significant predictors of both forms of abuse. The study suggests that low self-esteem mediates the relationship between cognitive jealousy and psychological cyber dating abuse, highlighting the complexity of romantic jealousy in the context of cyber dating abuse among young adults in the UK.
