Abstract
- A study conducted at Shaoxing University in Zhejiang, China, analyzed the impact of cytokines and neutrophils-to-lymphocytes ratio on febrile seizures (FS) in children during the epidemic of novel coronavirus and influenza virus. The research, which included 422 cases of FS, found that levels of IL-4, IL-10, and TNF-alpha were significantly higher during the viral epidemic period compared to the non-epidemic period. The study concluded that IL-4, IL-10, and NLR may play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of children with FS, particularly those with complex FS. [Extracted from the article]
