Abstract

A recent study conducted at Central South University in Changsha, China, explored the role of the HOXA3/USP15/SQSTM1 axis in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The research found that HOXA3 activates USP15, which suppresses autophagy and promotes M2-type macrophage polarization in RCC by facilitating the deubiquitination of SQSTM1. The study concluded that targeting this axis could potentially inhibit tumor growth and M2-type macrophage infiltration in RCC. [Extracted from the article]
