Abstract

The cult of God Attis was documented in several locations in the inland of the province of Dalmatia, more specifically in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina. The monument addressed in this paper is one of the so far unknown examples. This find was discovered in the territory of the Nevesinje municipality. The circumstances of its discovery are unfortunately unknown but the preserved relief and iconography analysis suggest that it was the cult of Attis. The monument is damaged to a large degree and contains very few elements that can be considered determinant. The primary determinant refers to the position of the body, more specifically the legs, and leaning on a cane. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
