Abstract
- Researchers at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital reported a case of a 34-year-old male with acute myeloid leukemia who developed Stevens-Johnson syndrome after undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The patient initially presented with severe cutaneous manifestations, which were initially suspected to be acute graft-versus-host disease or drug eruptions. Treatment with ruxolitinib, in addition to corticosteroids, led to significant clinical improvement, highlighting the challenges in diagnosing and managing such cases post-transplant. The study underscores the importance of rapid intervention and the potential efficacy of JAK inhibitors in steroid-resistant cutaneous GVHD. [Extracted from the article]
