Abstract

CEOs often experience loneliness despite being surrounded by colleagues, as the weight of leadership decisions falls solely on them. Loneliness is episodic, with 25% of CEOs reporting frequent bouts and 55% experiencing moderate loneliness. Strategies to cope with loneliness include self-care, learning orientation, introspection, building benevolence within the team, seeking support from outside networks, and encouraging feedback within the organization. Understanding the root causes of loneliness can help CEOs improve their well-being and organizational success. [Extracted from the article]
