Abstract
- Researchers at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences conducted a study on the anti-fungal effects of aerial part extracts of three Artemisia species to treat dermatophytosis, a skin disease in humans and animals. The study found that petroleum ether extracts from all three Artemisia species showed the most activity against fungi causing dermatophytosis, with the lowest minimum inhibitory concentration recorded for the petroleum ether extract of Artemisia ciniformis. Preliminary phytochemical studies revealed the presence of terpenoids in all plant species extracts, indicating potential for significant anti-dermatophytic activities. [Extracted from the article]
