Abstract
- The article reports the first instance of Calonectria henricotiae causing boxwood blight in Switzerland and Italy. The pathogen, which has high temperature tolerance, was previously found in Spain and is now detected in these two countries. The study involved collecting and analyzing boxwood twig samples from various locations to confirm the presence of C. henricotiae, highlighting the importance of understanding its distribution to prevent further spread. The research was funded by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, and the authors disclosed no conflicts of interest. [Extracted from the article]
