Abstract
- A study conducted by the University of Siena in Italy focused on the orbital/ocular inflammatory involvement in VEXAS syndrome, a monogenic autoinflammatory disease. The research found that 45.8% of VEXAS patients experienced inflammatory orbital/ocular conditions, with a significant association between relapsing polychondritis and such involvement. The study highlighted the importance of ophthalmologists in diagnosing VEXAS syndrome and suggested that patients with orbital/ocular involvement may require increased attention and careful follow-up.
