Researchers from the College of Science in Sakaka, Saudi Arabia, have successfully synthesized iron nanocomplexes using Ocimum basilicum L. leaf extract for tanning effluent treatment. The nanocomplexes were characterized using various techniques and were found to significantly reduce chemical parameters and color in the effluent. The biosynthesized Fe-nanocomplex also showed promise in removing chromium ions from the effluent.
