Abstract

Researchers from Menoufia University conducted a study to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) compared to digital mammography in detecting suspicious breast lesions. The study included 60 female patients who underwent both mammography and 3D tomosynthesis. Results showed that DBT classified more cases as BIRADS 5 compared to mammography, indicating its potential for improved precision in identifying breast abnormalities, especially in dense breast tissue. DBT has been recognized as a significant advancement in three-dimensional breast imaging, offering enhanced performance and superior diagnostic quality. [Extracted from the article]
