Abstract

A recent study from the University of Physical Education in Krakow evaluated the effectiveness of spinal manipulations as a treatment for migraine headaches. The research, which included six randomized clinical trials with 645 participants, found that spinal manipulation therapy had no significant effect on migraine intensity, duration, or emotional quality of life. Additionally, the study indicated that spinal manipulations increased the risk of adverse events. The researchers concluded that the effectiveness of spinal manipulations for treating migraines remains unproven, and called for larger, more rigorous studies to address existing uncertainties.
