Abstract
- A study conducted by Karaganda Medical University in Kazakhstan focused on the genetic associations with the risk of developing Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH) in Kazakh patients. The research found that a specific genetic variant in the BMPR2 gene was linked to an increased susceptibility to IPAH, leading to worse hemodynamic parameters and clinical outcomes. This study, which included 53 Kazakh patients with IPAH, sheds light on the genetic causes of this fatal disease within this ethnic group. [Extracted from the article]
