Abstract
- A study conducted at the University of Central Florida compared the effects of a vegan and omnivore diet on muscle function after downhill running. Twenty participants were divided into vegan and omnivore groups, and no significant differences were found in running economy or muscle recovery between the two groups. The research suggests that factors beyond diet, such as exercise intensity and individual fitness levels, may influence recovery from downhill running. This peer-reviewed study provides valuable insights into the impact of diet on post-exercise muscle function. [Extracted from the article]
