Abstract
- The Mary Kay Ash Foundation recently awarded $2.4 million in grants for cancer research and domestic violence programs across the country. Since 1996, the foundation has provided over $96 million to support its mission of eliminating women-related cancers and ending domestic violence. In 2024, 50 domestic violence shelters received $20,000 grants, while four North Texas shelters received $25,000 grants each. Additionally, 12 researchers from accredited universities received $100,000 grants for innovative research on cancers primarily affecting women, and a special grant was awarded for a clinical trial on weight loss inhibitors to prevent breast cancer recurrence in overweight patients.
