The National Museum of History of Moldova houses a large number of collections of objects that belonged to prominent figures in the field of science and education. Among them, noteworthy is the collection of Anton Ablov (1905-1978), Doctor of Chemical Sciences, university professor, full member of the Academy of Sciences of the Moldavian SSR, one of the founders of Chisinau State University. The formation of the collection began immediately after the academician's death; the first exhibits were transferred to the then Republican Museum of Military Glory in 1978. From 1985 to 2007, the collection was replenished with objects transferred from other Chisinau museums or donated by colleagues and students of the outstanding scientist (D. Batîr, L. Chapurina, N. Proshina, Ts. Kononova, E. Levitsky, V. Shafransky, A. Dobrov). Through this article, those interested can familiarize themselves with the entire collection. The work is supplemented by a complete list of the objects. These material evidence emphasize the primary role of Academician Anton Ablov in the development of chemical science in Moldova and are important sources in the study of the history of science and education in the Prut-Dniester region.
