This paper describes the activities of the staff of the Arge County Museum in creating and developing a collection of old documents and books. The Museum has legal ownership of objects acquired through purchase, donation or exchange. The Museum's book collection is quite valuable and diverse. Its development and promotion are carried out through exhibitions, symposiums, round tables and publications in the scientific yearbook "Argesis: Studies and Communications". The purpose of this periodical of the Arge County Museum is to promote the movable and immovable national cultural heritage, publish materials on museum studies and scientific research, as well as highlight restoration and conservation activities. The article focuses on objects from the collection of old documents and books, exhibited at two temporary exhibitions. Some of the exhibits did not require complex restoration processes.
